Thursday night, Beth and I made a last minute run to the store. As we walked out, I stopped, stared up at the moon, and said, “I should write about the market bottom tomorrow.”

Without missing a beat, she replied, “Fat bottomed girls, you make the rocking world go round.”

People dismiss strange ideas until they work. Then they try to explain them away.

Last Friday, I mentioned something unusual: the idea that market bottoms often coincide with full moons. Not because the moon moves prices, but because it seems to align with peaks in fear, panic, and forced selling.

It’s easy to scoff at.

It sounds ridiculous—until you look at history. Paul Montgomery, a well-respected market analyst, noticed it decades ago.
