It is NBA playoffs season. Have you ever heard the term basketball is a game of runs? Meaning a team goes on a run for 10 points and then the other goes for 7 and so on. Trading is a game of runs as well. You WILL NOT make money every day, month or quarter of the year. Some months will be great and others wont be. That has to be ok with you.

The worse thing that you can do is to try to force the market in to being conducive to your strategy.
